Our Story
Ashlee Ammons
In November 2014, while living in NYC, I attended a work conference. At the lunch break, the event host got up in front of the room and suggested, as an icebreaker, that we each go up to someone with the same color dot on their nametag and introduce ourselves. I chalked it up to another awkward networking event and enjoyed the rest of lunch in front of my phone, but came away without any new meaningful connections. Later that day, I spoke to my mom on the phone and relayed the day’s lackluster outcome. Her response: a similar disappointing networking event the same weekend.
After talking at length, we agreed there had to be a better way. And four hours later, we knew the path we wanted to take to create something better. That’s when Mixtroz was born.
We’re all about serendipitous interaction that sparks meaningful connection. And we’re proud to be in this together.
Mixtroz does networking differently
Mixtroz uses real-time surveying to facilitate collisions of 3-10 people while collecting useful data where 50+ gather live or virtually.
